farmers suicide in telanganaNizamabad farmer, Limbaiah’s suicide in the heart of Hyderabad is turning out to be a major embarrassment for the state government. After the uproar following the suicide, CMO announced that Limbaiah committed suicide due to ill health not for crop failure or debts.

The government further said Limbaiah is rich enough to lend money to others in his village and he also got benefited from the government’s loan waiver. However Limbaiah family members refuted government’s claims of ill-health and said they are trying to assassinate the character of a poor farmer who is dead. They confirmed that Limbaiah has 8 Lakhs debt.

Telangana media enthusiastically took government’s version and said suicide was flared up by Andhra media to defame Telangana government. It is high time Telangana government accept the gravity of the situation and take steps to address the issue.
