Right before Modi announced the demonetization, there were rumors that Pink color 2000 rupees note of Indian currency has been introduced and are going to be into circulation soon. Right after Modi announced the demonetization, these note came out to be true, not just a rumor.
Likewise, as the country was in deep trouble due to cash crunch, there came rumors that RBI is introducing 1000 rupees notes with pictures gone viral on social media but it was an absolute fake. Now here comes the latest. Pictures with 200 rupees note are going viral on the internet and some even reported that these are the new denominations that government is going to release to inculcate the free flow of cash.
The note looks so real and there are also reports that RBI has cleared way for the note to be released and is waiting for the government approval. But, as usual there are no such notifications from RBI or the center yet. However, RBI Deputy Governor commented that there is no such proposal as they are in an idea of promoting digital transactions and hence new denominations are not in the protocol. So are those rumors just rumors and the Rs. 200 note is fake?
