NTR’s Widow and YSR Congress Party Leader, Lakshmi Parvathi attended ACB Court in Hyderabad. She filed a petition in 2005 alleging that Chandrababu Naidu has disproportionate assets. Back then, the High Court gave a stay on this case. The Supreme Court lifted all the stays in such cases recently.
So, the ACB court has asked Lakshmi Parvathi if she would continue the case or withdraw it. She appeared in the court today but the next hearing of the case is posted to May 13th. Given the bad blood between Lakshmi Parvathi and Chandrababu Naidu, it is unlikely that she will withdraw this case.
It has to be seen if this case will be used as Political Vendetta by the Central Government against Chandrababu Naidu. Moreover, Lakshmi Parvathi now has the support of YSR Congress which also will be eager to extend all legal help to her in pinning down Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Arch-Rival.
