Lagadapati RajaGopal Chandrababu NaiduConfidential Sources tell us that Former Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal who is moving closely with TDP Supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu after the State Bifurcation issued a warning about a possible alliance between Congress and TDP.

Lagadapati reportedly told Naidu that according to his latest survey findings such an alliance will not help TDP in Telangana and will sink the party in Andhra Pradesh, as well as the Opposition, would be baying for his blood once the alliance materializes.

Chandrababu who was favorable for an alliance with Congress at least in Telangana is caught in two minds now. Naidu was mooting the alliance since Telangana is likely to go for Early Polls and the Elections will be forgotten by the time, Andhra Pradesh goes for elections in May the next year.

An alliance is the need of the hour for the survival of TDP (TS) as the party is almost on a ventilator in the newest state of the country post the 2014 Elections defeat and the Vote for Note Controversy. But the question is will Naidu risk the future of TDP in AP for a handful of seats in Telangana.
