From the last couple of weeks, there are rumours that Vijaya Shanthi is all set to shift to Tamil Politics by joining Sasikala’s AIADMK. But then, the former actress has clarified that she just helped AIADMK due to her association with Jayalalithaa and nothing more.
“I am not going to Tamil Politics. I am unwell for the last couple of years, only for that reason I am not active in Politics. My Political Life is connected to Telangana. I will be active in Politics very soon,” Vijaya Shanti clarified. Vijaya Shanthi was called ‘Lady Superstar’ in her Prime. While she is in full demand in films, she took a plunge into politics with BJP and later floated her own party.
After that, she merged it into TRS and played a very active role in Telangana agitation along with KCR. Later on, due to some reasons, she differed with him and joined Congress just before 2014 elections. She contested and lost in 2014 elections as MLA and that sealed her political career.
