Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in a Pressmeet last night had clarified that there is no chance of decreasing Petrol and Diesel rates. ” We did not increase prices after coming to power. Only those who increased must bring them down,” KCR told in his defense.
Interestingly, this is the same stance taken by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. But then, the AP Chief Minister splurged Crores to Rupees to give advertisements in all major Newspapers to tell the same reason. For telling the same thing, KCR may have only spent money for the snacks of the media called to Pragathi Bhavan.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s lack of confidence to meet the media and worry of facing questions from the journalists have resulted in this expense. Jagan may have at least released a recorded video like he always does to save money of the Public exchequer.
Meanwhile, both the Chief Ministers try to hide behind the numbers in the Fuel prices issue. There is a percentage component in the state taxes and the income will keep coming whenever the oil prices increase in the international markets. The governments need not increase the prices separately.
