Some of the oldtimers of Congress have come together once again for the YSR statue inauguration in Ampavaram of Krishna district today on the occasion of YSR Vardhanthi.
KVP Ramachandra Rao inaugurated the statue along with Undavalli Arun Kumar, Raghuveera Reddy, Sailajanath, and others. All the readers who had their prime during YSR’s time later faded away from the political limelight.
They remembered the good old times with YS Rajasekhara Reddy and expressed their anguish about missing him.
Interestingly, the YSR Congress cadre and leaders stayed away from this program.
It is also important to note that everyone including KVP and Undavalli avoided the mention of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“My father always said completion of Polavaram is possible only with YSR. He even told the same while he is on his death bed. I realized no one can change fate with YSR’s sudden demise,” KVP emotionally said.
KVP used to be called YSR’s Aatma. He used to play an active role in the party and government when YSR was alive. But he refused to travel with Jagan when he floated his own party and remained in Congress itself.
It appears like both Jagan and KVP are not even on talking terms.
