KTR BJPThe upcoming Nagarjuna Sagar legislative assembly by-elections have become all the rage in Telangana. The by-elections will take place on April 17th, and the counting will take place on May 2nd. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi seems intent on winning the elections at any cost, and leading up to the elections, Minister KTR had a live session on Twitter today, where he made some interesting statements.

In one of his statements, KTR said that the competition is between Congress and TRS in the upcoming elections. He mentioned that “the contest is between a leader who represents the past (Jana Reddy) and a young man who represents the future hope, Nomula Bhagat”.

It is interesting to note that KTR has avoided mentioning the Bharatiya Janata Party at all costs, considering that the BJP has been claiming that the power is theirs, after recently winning in the Dubbaka by-elections and in the GHMC elections.

Following the unfortunate and sudden demise of MLA Nomula Narasimhaiah, the Nagarjuna Sagar assembly constituency came up for by-elections. The Nagarjuna Sagar by-elections have become an interesting political scenario, with the TRS making sure that it wins the elections at any cost, and the BJP trying to assert its popularity and power in the Telangana state. It is now to be seen which party will win the elections.
