Telangana Minister K Taraka Ramarao along with a fleet of other Ministers and TRS Leaders laid the foundation for the first Neera Cafe on Necklace Road of Hyderabad. For those who do not know, Neera Cafe is something like a parlor that sells Palm Nectar (Thaati Kallu) as a Soft Drink.
The estimated cost of the cafe is Rs 3 crore. The Case is unveiled in the middle of Pandemic and people say that it only outlines the Government’s priorities in the time of a Health Emergency. What makes it worse is that the Social Distancing norms are completely flouted at this event.
Several people including Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav were seen the mask dangling around their necklace making that useless. Many people on Social Media were disappointed that KTR who is deemed as a NextGen Leader has been encouraging these kinds of events in these delicate times.
However, the ruling party leaders say that Neera Cafe is a part of various initiatives for the development of the families eking out their livelihood from caste-based professions and making them financially self-sufficient. But then, the construction can also begin without a Foundation stone laying ceremony with huge crowds.

At the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Neera Cafe at Necklace Road. Considering the pandemic situation, organizers should probably restrict crowds and maintain social distancing for the safety of our elected leaders. #Telangana pic.twitter.com/Fx3zaTZIYu
