YSR_Congress_Party_in_KondapiYSR Congress had won a majority of the SC constituencies in Andhra Pradesh in the 2019 elections. But then, it has lost Kondapi of the Prakasam district.

Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy Dola won from here in 2014 and 2019 as well.

Madasi Venkaiah contested on the YSR Congress ticket and lost by a slender margin of 1000 votes.

Group fights have become a major problem for the party in this constituency. Both sides are busy surpassing each other.

Madasi Venkaiah claims that his rival in YSRCP, V Ashok Babu did not cooperate in the election and ensure his defeat.

Venkaiah was made DCCB Chairman after the elections which further intensified this fight.

All of sudden, the party high command recently removed Venkaiah as the party in charge, and Ashok Babu was given the responsibility.

Ashok Babu had started Gadapa Gadapaku but Madasi Venkaiah is staying away from Party affairs.

Venkaiah’s group has questioned the party leadership about making Ashok the in charge even after he ensured party’s defeat in 2019.

Unable to face the heat, the party has instructed Ashok Babu to stop Gadapa Gadapaku and other party events until further instructions.

This only indicates the mess the party is in, in the constituency.

Meanwhile, a recent survey indicated that TDP is going to retain the constituency if elections are held now.
