Kodandaram Reddy Threatens To Walkout of MahakutamiReports are emerging that Professor Kodandaram is upset with Congress and has threatened to walk out of the Mahakutami. Kodandaram’s Telangana Jana Samiti is keen on contesting in at least 30 seats while Congress feels that Kodandaram does not have the strength to do that and is offering less than 5 seats.

Kodandaram reportedly served an ultimatum to finalize the seat sharing in two days or he will be announcing the first list of TJS for 21 seats and will go with other parties. TDP (TS) President L Ramana reportedly is in talks with the TJAC Chairman to cool him down and ensure that he is in Mahakutami.

On the other side, the ruling party is keenly observing the developments in the Mahakutami Camp. If at all Kodandaram walks out, TRS will attack Congress for insulting the Veteran. TRS also feels that Mahakutami will be lost the positive feel of Mahakutami which Kodandaram brings with all his experience during the Separate State Agitation.

Interestingly, Telangana Jana Samiti did not even get a Symbol allotted by the Election Commission of India. Political Analysts say that even Kodandaram may find it extremely tough to win if he contests the elections given that the party has no grass-roots structure to carry out the electioneering which is crucial to win an election.
