KCR's-Snap-Polls-Idea-Disappoints-JaganImmediately after his defeat in the 2014 elections, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy approached the Election Commission asking it to have the elections in both the Telugu States on the same day. Previously, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would go to Polls in different phases. Jagan’s complaint is that settlers of Hyderabad are having votes in Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh.

He suspects that the voters have voted in Hyderabad and came to AP in the next phase to vote for TDP. YSR Congress followed up the complaint a couple of times with the Election Commission. Even before we know what the Commission would do this time, KCR blew the Snap Polls Conch. Telangana Assembly Elections will happen in November now.

The Elections in Andhra Pradesh will happen in May. So, Jagan’s Fear is that Settlers will easily vote in both the elections now. So, he is very disturbed. The only difference will happen now is in the Parliament Elections if AP and Telangana go for the Polls on the same day in May. The Schedule for General Elections is likely to arrive in February the next year.
