KCR's secretariat relocation idea takes a hitTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s dream project of relocating the state secretariat may not happen. Initially the considered to move it to Errgadda Chest Hospital and then to Bison Polo Grounds in Secunderabad. The latest move was ruled out after the center refused to part with the 60-acre defence land in Secunderabad.

Telangana CM reportedly totally dropped the idea of the shifting and now to make the existing secretariat, Vaastu-compliant, it is mulling the option of raze three of the four blocks in the state Secretariat to build a new complex. AP government is already planning to shift its offices from Hyderabad to Amaravati by June next year, the Telangana government will be utilizing the space in the AP Secretariat to facilitate construction of the new complex.

According to sources, chief minister Chandrasekhar Rao is toying the idea of demolishing A, B and C blocks of the Telangana Secretariat and construct an L-shaped complex which will be ‘vastu-compliant’.
