KCR-land-war

Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is concentrating fully on recovery of encroached lands in his early tenure. The TRS government has identified that government has very less land in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts to attract industries and accommodate them. So, KCR is keen on getting back the encroached lands and unutilised lands previously allotted by the government.

It is said that government just has a mere 7,000 acres in both Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. In Ranga Reddy district, which is known to be the IT hub, the government owns just about 6,500 acres, while another 9,000 acres are stuck in legal disputes. KCR has instructed officials to speed up the legal processes and make sure the land is brought back.

3,276 acres on the city outskirts were allotted to as many as 480 firms, 292 firms have utilized the land, another 189 firms failed to do so and the land has been lying unused for years.Government will be pushing notices to them and take back the lands up on improper answers. KCR has also instructed officials to file criminal cases against such firms or persons, who misused the land allocations.
