After the effective She Teams to tackle eve-teasing, Telangana Government is doing another Rakhi (NTR film) act to the women in the state. Telangana becomes the second state after Tamil Nadu as it plans to bring in an anti-eve teasing law.
Telangana Police have made a draft proposal of an anti-eve teasing act in 2016 and sent it through State Government to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for their nod. The proposal is to raise the fine to a minimum of 10000 to 15000, which would deter people from committing such offenses.
The proposal has got the cabinet approval by the state government and is expecting a response from the Central Government very soon. The She Teams initiative of the state government is a big success and is being replicated in many states.
