Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal had revealed that Telangana State government is not reaching out to Centeron various issues. The minister clarified that states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana are doing politics on power issue. “KCR is too busy to reach out for Center’s help for the power crisis in Telangana. We already sought some information about the power situation in the state but did not get any response. It is sad that some states are politicizing crucial power sector and are trying to throw blame on center”, Piyush Goyal said.
It is known that Telangana State have severe power crisis post the state bifurcation. The state government’s trials for bringing power from other states did not work due to the lack of transmission lines. However the state has got temporary relief with Hydro power generation touching peak due to the heavy rains over the last one week and reservoirs over flowing with water.
