There are several reports in National Media that Nara Lokesh has suggested penalizing and punishing those tarnish the image of the government in Social Media. The media said this is an attack on free speech and flayed the suggestion.
But then, all of sudden, such a move came from Telangana government. Bojja Ravikanth, a native of Kesharajupalli village in Nalgonda reportedly shared a photo of the Telangana CM on the Facebook, which is said to be highly disrespectful.
A case was registered by the local police based on a complaint filed by a TRS leader from Manyamchelka, Kathula Ramesh. Based on the complaint, the Nalgonda police arrested Ravikanth and produced him before a court in the district. It has to be seen how the media responds on this.
