Telangana BJP is all set to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day (annexing of Telangana from Nizam with armed forces and adding it to the Indian Union by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel) on 17th of this month. The Saffron Party is planning a huge rally in Warangal district which will be held at JNS Ground in Hanamkonda. BJP Senior Leaders are touring across Warangal district mobilizing people for the rally.
BJP National President, Amit Shah will be attending the event and will get a national wide attention of the event. TRS when in opposition used to demand to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day officially by the government but it is not doing itself when TRS is in power. BJP alleges that TRS is doing that to appease MIM.
Political circles are abuzz that Irrigation Minister, Harish Rao on the insistence of CM KCR, met Venkaiah Naidu and asked him to tone down the event as it may give rise to communal issues. But then Venkaiah Naidu did not give any promise on the same. BJP claims that this rally is attended by Amit Shah is a virtual launch of poll campaign for the 2019 elections
