As the Section 8 controversy grips Hyderabad, Telangana government had immediately rushed its Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma and DGP Anurag Sharma to Delhi. They will be attending the meeting of SC commission and Chief Secretaries and DGPs of 16 states.
After the meeting, Telangana CS and DGP will be meeting the Senior officials of Union Home Ministry and seek clarification regarding the Attorney General’s instructions to Governor over the Cash for Vote scam investigation and the Special Power of the Governor in the common capital.
Both the senior bureaucrats are carrying the message of the Chief Minister to the Center. On the other side, TNGOs are planning state wide agitations against Section 8. They are also urging the Chief Minister to call for a state wide Bandh. Reports are emerging that KCR is considering fast unto death in Delhi if the Center tries to impose the controversial section in the Reorganization Act.
