KCR's-PM-sends-Shudders-Down-the-Spines-of-AP-People.Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, the other day, in a Press Meet advocated the extension of the Lockdown after it finishes on April 14th. KCR went on to say it is the only way to save the lives is by extending the Lockdown even though it means huge financial losses for the state.

“Telangana was supposed to collect around 2,400 Crore in the first six days of April, but we managed only Six Crore,” That means Telangana just managed 0.25% of its targeted Revenue. This is despite the fact that Telangana got a cash cow like Hyderabad.

If that is the case with Telangana, one can not just imagine the financial condition of Andhra Pradesh without a proper capital. Already Andhra Pradesh Government has deferred salaries and pensions to its employees and the Government is yet to give the first installment salaries to some of its employees.

If the Lockdown continues after April 14th, things will be difficult for Telangana and even worse for Andhra Pradesh. Both the states have to resort to heavy borrowings just for the sake of Corona Control Measures and to help the poor affected by the Lockdown forget about Salaries, Pensions, and Freebies for a while. This Pressmeet of KCR sends shudders down the spines of AP People.
