KCR-USATelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao made a sudden visit to US Consulate office at Begumpet on Thursday and has given his biometric data for a diplomatic visa. Telangana government so far has not announced any proposed US trip for the chief minister and even did not confirm anything after his consulate visit.

This has led to speculations that the CM may be visiting US very soon. However some say the diplomatic visa will be valid for 10 years and there need not be an immediate visit. But considering that there is no immediate visit, we do not see such hurried visa application amid CM’s busy schedule.

Some TRS sources say the CM may be visiting the country for a full medical check up. An official tour is unlikely till March next year they say as the government will need to present its first full-fledged budget in the state assembly before February 28 for the 2015-16 financial year. On the other side, the NRI Telangana associations are very excited on this news.
