A couple of months ago, there is a news that a case was registered on two Veterinary Doctors on alleged negligence which led to the death of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s Pet Dog, Husky. Finally, the city police have closed the case against the two veterinary doctors.
The Hyderabad police, after conducting an investigation, closed the criminal case after they arrived at the conclusion that it was a case of natural death. The Indian Veterinary Association (IVA) not only took objection to the case but also wrote to the Chief Minister to withdraw the case.
The 11-month-old dog belonged to the Hulk breed, which is a cross between a pit bull terrier and a bulldog. Husky died allegedly after the veterinarian administered an injection on September 11th. a case under section 429 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 11 (4) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act was booked against Doctor Ranjit and the in-charge of a private veterinary clinic, Dr. Laxmi Srinivasan, at Banjara Hills police station.
This news has caused a huge uproar in social media which prompted the authorities to withdraw the case.
