Ahead of the MLC Elections in Telangana, Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti unleashed Operation Akarsha and already three wickets have fallen. Congress MLAs A Sakku (Asifabad) and R Kantha Rao (Pinapaka) have announced joining TRS ahead of MLC Elections for Bangaru Telangana.
And a little while ago, TDP MLA, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah also announced resigning to the party and joining TRS. That leaves TDP with only one MLA in Telangana. TRS had put up four candidates and allotted one more seat to MIM. But TRS and MIM combined have only 97 MLAs while the support of 105 MLAs is needed to ensure the victory of all five.
Operation Akarsha came back for the support of the eight MLAs. Three wickets have fallen down and another five are needed to get the seat. KCR claims that at least eight to twelve MLAs of the Opposition are in touch with them. If Congress loses this election, Congress will not have representation in the Council. TDP already has no representation since 2015.
