KCR Moots Hyderabad Four Multi-Specialty HospitalsTelangana Government is planning to set up four multi-speciality hospitals to relieve the existing government hospitals from the ever increasing flow of patients from districts to Hyderabad. The state government is planning to set up four multi-speciality hospitals at the four corners of Hyderabad, along the Outer Ring Road.

Each of these hospitals will be equipped with 750 beds – of which 500 will be earmarked for specialty care and 250 for mother and child care. With 250 Crore for each hospital, the project will need 1000 Crore. Officials are readying DPR for each hospital.

The government is currently on the lookout for suitable land parcels at various locations in the four zones – north, south, east and west–to set up these facilities. These four hospitals are very important for our plan to overhaul the entire healthcare set up of the state. Andhra Bank has come forward to loan the entire budget. The government has a target of six months to begin work on the hospitals and are hoping to inaugurate them within 8-10 months of commencement of work.
