TRS is buoyed by the favorable results from the recent MLC elections. To keep the positive vibe going, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has announced the 30% fitment for the Government employees. It will be in effect from April 1st.

The Government also increased the retirement age from 59 years to 61 years. The fitment will be extended to Outsourcing, Homeguard, and Contract employees making all of them happy. The gratuity for employees and teachers has been increased from 12 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs.

These sops are likely to make the Government employees happy and TRS will hope that this will help the party in the upcoming Nagarjunasagar by-election and the upcoming elections to Warangal and Khammam municipal corporations.

This PRC will bring 8,000 Crore additional burden to the state exchequer. Earlier a committee appointed to decide PRC recommended just 7% fitment but KCR made it 30% to make the employees happy.
