Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken the Opposition by surprise by announcing a huge number of job notifications.
He has announced that 91,142 vacancies in various government departments will be filled up. Notification will be issued immediately. 11,000 contract employees will also be regularised.
9147 other posts are also vacant and will be notified soon. That will take the total jobs to 1,02,250. All these jobs will be given before 2023 elections which will help TRS big time.
He also increased age limit for all jobs eligibility by 10 years and also announced there will be no contract jobs going forward in Telangana. While the youth in Telangana is super happy, the unemployed youth in AP are fuming at Jagan.
Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has announced a Job Calendar last year with meager number of posts. There were only 36 posts in Group-1 and Group-2 in the job Calendar for 2021-22 announced by Jagan while KCR announced 503 and 582 jobs respectively.
Even for the meager jobs announced, the government did not give notifications, leaving the aspirants high and dry. Regularizing contract jobs is one of the promises Jagan has made during his Padayatra and there is no movement on it.
This move of KCR even though is targeting the assembly elections in 2023 will have political ramifications in Andhra Pradesh as well. But given the bad financial mess Jagan has created in AP, new jobs means a huge financial burden.
