Telangana government is making swift moves to implement its KG to PG Free education scheme. As a part of it, government is keen on improving the infrastructure in the government schools of the state. The government is currently in the process of mapping all the schools in the state using Geographic Information System (GIS).
This mapping will give all the information regarding the schools in the state along with photographs and videos. It will help government in bringing schools nearer to people and those living far from the schools will be given travel reimbursement to discourage dropouts.
The facilities in the schools will also be improved as the government gets to monitor them directly. Government is planning to make the data public so that any one can view it. We will hope these steps taken by the government will better the infrastructure in government school and help increase in the literacy rate in people.
