Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao went to the High Court this morning. This is the First Visit of KCR to the High Court as the Chief Minister. He went around the court observing the Nizam time Building. On the other side, Justice Radhakrishnan took oath as the First Chief Judge of Telangana earlier today.

Governor ESL Narasimhan administered the oath. Separate High Court is one of the Prime demands during Telangana Agitation time and it has become a reality finally and with this, the Bifurcation is almost complete. Separate High Courts for Both the Telugu States came into existence from today i.e., January 1st, 2019.

There are 3.4 Lakh Pending Petitions in the Hyderabad High Court. A majority of them around 70% belongs to Andhra Pradesh. So, the load on Telangana High Court is going to come down significantly. The judges allotted to Andhra Pradesh also took oath a little while ago in Amaravati.
