Deputy Chief Minister in KCR’s Previous Regime, Kadiyam Srihari may be made the Chairman of Telangana Council. The current Chairman Swami Goud’s tenure is going to complete on March 23rd. Swami Goud won from Graduates Constituency in the last elections and KCR offered to give him one more chance.
But he is not in favour of contesting the elections and KCR is not keen on making an MLC in Legislators Quota. So, Swami Goud is going to be replaced. Kadiyam is a Senior Legislator and has the experience to take up the post, KCR believes. Kadiyam represented Station Ghanpur in the last elections.
But he announced that he will not contest in the Assembly Elections which happened in December. He tried to get the Station Ghanpur ticket to his daughter but KCR did not allow that. Making Kadiyam as Council Chairman will mean that one aspirant is less for the Cabinet Berth.
