KTR -COVID19 positiveAfter chief minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana’s Industry Minister KT Rama Rao has tested positive for coronavirus. KTR is having mild symptoms of Covid-19 and is under home isolation. The minister urged people who came in contact with him in the last few days to undergo Covid test. The news was broken by the minister who tweeted, “I’ve tested COVID positive with mild symptoms. Currently isolated at home Those of you who have met me the last few days, kindly follow the covid protocol, get tested & take care (sic)”.

Recently, KCR contracted the novel virus on April 19. The chief minister visited the Yashoda Hospital where he underwent medical procedures. Soon after the test he left for his Erravalli farmhouse. According to reports, KCR health is stable and no serious infection has been detected.

Meanwhile, TRS MP J Santosh Kumar, KTR cousin and close aide of KCR, tested positive for Covid-19. He has been assisting KCR in all his medical procedures and moves closely with him on a professional basis. “Unfortunately, tested positive for #COVID. Thanks for the enquiries about my health. Have no symptoms as of now. Under the supervision of the doctors. #StayHome to #StaySafe. If have to go out please #MaskUp,” Kumar tweeted.

It may be recalled that KCR daughter K. Kavitha in the month of March had quarantined herself after her husband Anil Kumar Devenapalli tested positive for coronavirus. Similarly, KCR’s nephew and TRS minister Harish Rao too contracted the novel virus last year.

Telangana has been witnessing a surge in Covid cases. As per today’s bulletin, the state witnessed 29 deaths and 6,206 fresh cases. Out of them 1,005 have been recorded in the GHMC area alone. The number of cases have gone to 3,79,494 of which 52,726 are active. Nearly, 1,05,602 samples have been tested today and 3,052 have been discharged.
