KCR's Dream Project Put On HoldTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s Plan for a State of the Art Secretariat Buildings was put on hold due to funds crunch. While 500 Crore is necessary for the construction of the new buildings, only 50 Lakhs were allocated for this purpose.

That confirms the fact the construction will not take off this year. Also, the pending court cases against the demolition of existing buildings at the secretariat also forced the government to postpone the plan for now. In case, the government still gives a go-ahead for the project, R&B department can still mobilize the required funds from financial institutions as loans.

On the other side, AP government is also yet to vacate its share of buildings in the current Secretariat compound despite the fact it has shifted its administration to Amaravati. It is known that KCR government has taken up this new secretariat as the current buildings have serious Vaastu defects and also for administration convenience.
