Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, as we all know is a very devotional person. Media Reports suggest that the Chief Minister reportedly gave a donation to a Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Swarnamukhi, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh.
KCR and his wife, Shoba donated for the construction of Temple’s Maharaja Gopuram and East Maada Street. KCR was supposed to attend for the Vigraha Prathishta Ceremony of the Temple on Saturday but the Chief Minister and his family could not attend due to to COVID norms.
The Temple authorities unveiled a plank with KCR’s name as a donor. It is not revealed how much KCR has donated for this cause. In recent years, KCR had made several offerings to various temples of Andhra Pradesh and that also drawn so much of criticism for using Government money for personal beliefs.
So, the Chief Minister chose to donate in his personal capacity this time, sources tell us.
