Telangana government is showering more perks for the MLAs in the state. The government is already proposing a 250% hike in their salaries and allowances, now is giving them an office cum residence. These will be 2 storey buildings coming up in 4000 square feet area. The ground floor will be the office and the top floor will be the residence.
The government will be spending One Crore for each building and tenders for this will be called by this month end. These buildings will come up in government lands available in the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state. The district collectors are instructed to identify land for these constructions.
It is said that the lands were already identified for the constituencies of Hyderabad and Nizamabad. The government is planning to complete these constructions by the end of next financial year. The state government also earmarked funds for these constructions in the recently put up budget.
