KCR's Cover-Up Hogs International HeadlinesThere is only one way of solving a problem, that is by actually solving it. But Governments have another way of solving a problem by actually hiding it. Telangana Government did the same with the menace of Beggars in Hyderabad ahead of the three-day Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) being held at HICC from November 28.

Hyderabad Commissioner had banned begging in Public spaces of Hyderabad and even resorted to Preventive Arrests. This is to increase the image of Hyderabad in the eyes of Ivanka Trump, daughter of USA President, Donald Trump attending GES.

But then, it actually served no purpose as the news hogged headlines across the globe. The Guardian is a British daily newspaper, known from 1821 picked up the story with a headline ‘Hyderabad police round up homeless people before Ivanka Trump visit’.

This cover-up of KCR Government will defame the city more than the actual begging problem. About 6,000 beggars are likely to be lodged in a rehabilitation facility at Chanchalguda jail as the summit approaches. Already 400 were detained.
