It is now established that BJP is going to be the main Opposition in Telangana. After ignoring it for a while, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has decided to fight it. The TRS Supreme had extended support to the protest of Punjab farmers against the Farm Bills.
The Chief Minister announced that TRS Party workers will participate in the Bharat Bandh call given by the farmers on December 8th. This seems to be the first attempt in the creation of the Federal Front which KCR has been telling for a long time.
“Farm Bills are against the interest of the farmers of this country. TRS already opposed these bills in Parliament. We will fight until the bills are withdrawn,” the Chief Minister announced. However, political experts say KCR is doing a mistake in his eagerness to corner BJP.
“In attacking BJP, you are acknowledging them as a threat. You are giving them visibility. You will contribute to their attack. There is no sentiment against Farm Bills in the state. Chandrababu Naidu also did the same mistake and Jagan cashed it. The Special Status issue did not move the public. No use hanging on the branches which people do not need. KCR has the resources to splurge money, unlike Chandrababu. Just perform well and people will automatically vote.,” experts say.
