Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao the other day mentioned that his support for BJP is only based on issues and there will not be any alliance with the party. KCR called himself as ‘Lifelong Secularist’ implying that BJP is a Communal Party.
“We supported BJP as the Prime Minister himself called me and sought the support. We are supporting Venkaiah Naidu for Vice-President because he is a Telugu man. I am a secularist and will be one all my life,” KCR told in a Press meet.
This is on cards for a long time as an alliance with BJP will mean that the Muslim voters will shy away from TRS. The Pink Party may, however, join NDA post-2019. There are speculations that KTR may be made the Chief Minister and KCR goes to Central Cabinet.
