We are almost a month since the Results of Telangana Elections have come, Telangana Government is operating without a complete Cabinet. Along with the Chief Minister, there is only One Minister in the cabinet – Mahmood Ali, the Home Minister. Finally, CM KCR has decided to address this issue.
The First Assembly Session of Telangana will happen on the 17th of this month. Sources say that the Cabinet Expansion will happen on the next day so that the cabinet can be in place by the time of Governor’s Address in the house on 19th. As said earlier, the cabinet expansion will happen in Two Phases.
The first phase may have only eight Ministers and the Second Phase will happen after the Parliament Elections. The expansion has become a challenge for KCR since there are several MLAs who won with Bumper Majorities this time and are expecting a Cabinet Berth. In some cases, even those lost in the last elections are also expecting a place.
