KCR JaganOn one hand, AP CM Jagan says Tollywood should set foot in AP. And on the other hand, he creates a hostile environment with restrictions on ticket prices, rejecting permission for events, and other curbs.

And at the same time, the Telangana government is creating a favorable environment for the film industry. The latest news is that the government has permitted 6 shows per day for both Sankranthi releases – Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya.

There’s already the GO which flexibly allows filmmakers to go for ticket pricing up to Rs 295 at plexes. This is of great help for big films. Further hike will also be permitted for event films.

With this flexibility in ticket prices, and special shows, the Telangana government is doing all it can to support the film industry. The story in AP is completely different, as mentioned earlier.

The bookings in AP haven’t even been opened yet as the government is yet to pass the G.O for a hike of Rs 45+ GST for Sankranthi releases.

While KCR is focused on keeping Tollywood satisfied and happy with perks, Jagan says he wants Tollywood to move to AP but his actions literally scare them away.
