KCR-highcourt-beatingLooks like Telangana government may well better be checking every decision of them with the high court before actually announcing or implementing them. After a series of brick bats from the high court, the fresh rows is about the proposed Kala Bharathi at NTR stadium. Indira Park Walkers Association (IPWA) has filed a public interest litigation in the Hyderabad High Court urging the court to cancel the GO the TRS government issued for this purpose.

Telangana government issued GO No 73 (MA&UD) on April 23 directing the GHMC to hand over the stadium to the department of culture for constructing the proposed Telangana Kala Bharathi. The complainant association along has 5600 members who use Indira Park as well as the NTR Stadium for morning walks, jogging, yoga, meditation etc.

This move of the Telangana government will deprive them of the green space in the city. Many allege that KCR government wants to erase the name of NTR with this proposal of Kala Bharathi in the stadium. They have taken this route to avoid controversies.
