Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao sat for a Mahadharna in Indira Park, Hyderabad against the Central Government’s Policy not to procure Paddy from Telangana in this season. He alleged that the Center is showing stepmom attitude to Telangana and farmers are losing as a result.
“The agitation will continue until the Central Government responds. We will lend support to the farmers of North India who are agitating against the Modi Government. This Government is as such even Chief Ministers and Ministers have to sit for Dharna,” KCR said.
“This agitation will not stop here. It will continue until the Center procures Paddy from Telangana. Many agitations will follow. If needed, we will protest in Delhi,” the Chief Minister added. This is the first time KCR is sitting for a Dharna after becoming the Chief Minister. KCR has come to power with numerous agitations and he has come to where he started.
This time the motive is clear. The Chief Minister himself entered the fray to stop BJP which is making fast inroads in Telangana with elections two years to go.
