Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is reviewing the condition of ailing TSRTC over the last couple of days. The Corporation which started in Green after the bifurcation, is heading to Red after that 44% fitment to Employees. On the other side, APSRTC had entered in to operating profits with innovative ideas.
APSRTC is making use of RTC assets by leasing them to private parties. Recently a and several of them are being planned in other important towns of the state. The Corporation also started Parcel services very recently which have got good response.
KCR in the review meeting reportedly appraised all these ideas being carried out by APSRTC and urged TSRTC officials to implement them in the state corporation too. He also told them not to hesitate to take a tour to Andhra Pradesh and sit with the officials there if needed. The state government is also considering allowing hike in ticket prices every year according to the conditions prevailing then.
