KCR - JaganThe Chief Ministers of both the Telugu states have been totally complacent when the Coronavirus cases have slowed down and are now in a rush to show how close the flood gates. While there is a shortage of medicines, beds, oxygen cylinders, there is a dearth of doctors and staff in the hospitals.

Many doctors and staff have contracted the virus and were down. So, the Governments are now in a mad rush to appoint temporary staff. The Telangana government decided to recruit 755 healthcare workers on the war footing in 114 hospitals.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to recruit 5,546 staff including specialists, General Physicians, Staff nurses, sweepers, etc to assist the hospitals. All these recruitments were on a temporary basis for a period of six months. The requirement is so big that the district collectors were asked to complete the recruitments in just one week and press them to duty.

“After dillydallying for several months, the Governments have finally woken up when people are dying. One would expect the recruitment will not be difficult. And at the same time care should be taken to ensure qualified ones are on board,” Opposition Parties criticize.
