Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella who has his roots in Anantapur district will be visiting Andhra Pradesh next month. The young CEO will be on a official visit to Hyderabad where he will be meeting both the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and needless to say both the CMs will be competing with each other to impress him and attract investments to their respective states. It was Chandra Babu Naidu during his tenure impressed the then Microsoft CEO, Bill Gates and made him to establish the first development center outside the United States.
However things will not be so easy for Chandra Babu this time. Telangana in other words Hyderabad is an IT giant today with software exports pegged at Rs 57,000 cr during 2013-14 while Andhra Pradesh is yet to cross the 3000 Crore IT exports mark. Also the Andhra Pradesh state do not have the world class infrastructure to tempt the software giant. We will have to see who will manage the final laugh!
