Government employees in Andhra Pradesh are fuming at the Pay Revision given by Jagan Mohan Reddy Government which they call is a plain treachery. They are gearing up to serve a notice of ‘Strike’ to the Chief Secretary on January 21st.
Employees always tried to be close to Jagan but then, the Government pushed them to the edge this time. There are reports that some employees may even suffer Salary decrease after Pay Revision for the first time in the history.
Employees Unions are refusing to come to talks until the G.O.s are first withdrawn. Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao intentionally or unintentionally added fuel to the employees’ anger on Jagan.
Telangana government had enhanced the dearness allowance (DA) for government employees by 10.01 per cent from the present 7.28 per cent to 17.29 per cent of the basic pay, with effect from July, 2021. AP Government employees are fuming further after hearing this.
