Telangana Cabinet has no women representation until now and then there is no plan of cabinet expansion before the next elections which means KCR‘s this term will not have a woman minister. This is a big criticism of the government until now.
We are told that KCR may address the issue in the next term only. The plan is to have his daughter, Kavitha contest for Assembly the next term so that she can be inducted into KCR’s team. If that happens, she will be the fourth member of the cabinet from KCR’s family unless KCR chose to go to the center.
But such move will only attract further criticism but KCR will not mind as we all know. Kavitha will be contesting from a convenient Assembly constituency under Nizamabad or Medak Lok Sabha constituency where TRS is strong.
If KCR goes to Delhi, she will be contesting from her father’s constituency itself. The clarity about that may emerge only before the 2019 elections but the buzz about Kavitha coming to the assembly is strong even though that will not go well with the Opposition.
