Andhra Pradesh government had allocated 1000 Crore to the Kapu Community in the budget of 2016-17 as promised earlier to the community. This 1000 Crore will be transferred to Kapu Corporation which was set up to look after the needs of the poor in the community. On the other side, it has to be seen if this will stop Kapu activist Mudhragada Padmanabham threatening with a fast unto death.
Chandrababu Naidu already appointed BC Commission to look in to the reservations to Kapu Community. The Commission was asked to be submit its report in 8 months. The Chief Minister already announced that any hurried movement in this issue, may lead to intervention of the courts which will seal the issue permanently.
Mudhragada sat for a fast less than a month ago but government managed to convince him to withdraw by making some promises. But with out giving the government enough time, Mudhragada had announced one more Deeksha from tomorrow. Looking at this and the political language being used by him, even members of Kapu community in the state are suspecting political foul play in this.
