Universal Hero Kamal Haasan has floated a new political party earlier this year named Makkal Needhi Maiam. The actor is being politically active despite shooting for his films. He placed himself away from the ruling government at the Center and has been very vocal against the Government Policies.
Now Kamal announced that his party will be contesting in the upcoming General Elections. He also announced forming a Committee very soon to finalize the candidates who will be contesting from the party. Kamal also announced that Makkal Needhi Maiam is open to have alliance any likeminded parties for the elections.
However, that comes with a rider he clarified that he is not going to ally with any party which does not have respect for Tamil culture hinting at BJP. It has to be seen if Kamal’s Party will be successful given that there are two strong regional parties in Tamil Nadu and Rajinikanth’s Party may also contest the election.
