Just ahead of the 2019 Andhra Pradesh elections, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and her husband Rajashekar campaigned for YS Jagan’s YSRCP.
Incidentally, the couple is now moving closely with YSRCP. In fact, Jeevitha has made an interesting comment in this context.
“We never really quit BJP. Before the 2019 elections, we campaigned for YCP upon Jagan’s request. We were always with BJP but had to campaign for Jagan’s party in Andhra Pradesh,” Jeevitha reportedly told Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay in their recent meeting.
This time around, Jeevitha made it clear to BJP high command that she would campaign for the party only if she is offered an MLA ticket either in Andhra Pradesh or in Telangana.
Jeevitha appears to have severed ties with Jagan for good and she is no longer in the mood to offer free political services like she did for Jagan in 2019. She’s determined to bag an MLA ticket from BJP this time.
