JC Diwakar Reddy Hires a Special Flight to DelhiAnantapur MP, JC Diwakar Reddy who was banned from flying in major domestic airlines hired a Special Flight to vote in the Presidential Elections at New Delhi. Even though Diwakar Reddy had the option of voting in Amaravati, he chose to hire a Special Flight to Delhi.

On 15th of June, Diwakar Reddy created hulchul at Vishakapatnam Airport after he was refused boarding pass by IndiGo Airlines. The incident has got extensive coverage in National media and that prompted all the airlines to add him to their No Fly List.

The Anantapur MP also approached the Hyderabad High Court, requesting it rule that the ban imposed by the airlines on him was illegal. JC in his petition said that no complaint has been filed against him regarding the incident and blamed the IndiGo Airlines for not issuing him a boarding pass though he reported well within the time. He asked the court to direct the respondents to forthwith allow the petitioner to fly in all domestic flights.
