She is put on the respiratory support only during the nights as a precautionary measure. While the Chief Minister continues to be in ICU, she may be shifted to a chair from bed in the next few days.

The Chief Minister is suffering from ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). The patient suffering from this problem even when he or she shows dramatic improvement is deemed vulnerable, so the doctors are not announcing the improvement. Sources say that if the improvement continues for some more days, she may be out of hospital very soon.

But then the Chief Minister will need significant rest, care, and physiotherapy for at least two months. It has to be seen if the doctors prefer her to rest under their supervision at the hospital or send her home by the end of October.
